sweet Bekah

There are those people you come across, that immediately after meeting them you forget their name and go about your day

Then there are those who stay around for quite a while and share remarkable memories with you.

And then, there are those special few.

The ones, that no matter where you are and what you are doing in life, they will stay with you forever.

Because when it comes down to it, it isn’t just having a great friend or family

it’s something more–when two souls connect in a much deeper level than we will ever understand.

One of those few people in my life?

Well she happens to be 11 years old.

I know what you are thinking–Aren’t those special people supposed to be old and wise.

Not always

because really, our souls don’t recognize race, age, social status, or anything else.

And so, her name is Bekah.

She came into my life a little over a year ago, and her role in my life is more profound then I thought possible.

She is a vibrant light in my life.

Her love is simple. And simple love is the most powerful love.

She embodies this unconditional love, and through that, I can see the excitement and joy the Lord has for me.

The greatest lesson this 11 year-old-girl has given me is–be your true-authentic self. Something I know she will always be.

She will never be affected by the things or people of this world.

She lives in this sacred place that God has created for her, and that is special.

And that is the sole reason she is special.
